Poolin' it.

So, Toby fell in love with a cup today.  We all knew he loved water, but the cup was a surprise.

Had a wonderful day with wonderful friends.  Truly, how many people can you hang out with for over 5 hours and ALL your kids get along as well as the parents?  A rare find my friend.

It is so refreshing to hang out with other moms.  No wonder we travel in herds.  I always feel less alone, less crazy and less cranky when I'm around other moms with kids that are less than perfect.

We drank a lot of coffee, told a lot of stories, said goodbye to her chickens (they are moving) and overwhelmed a mom-to-be with advice.  We fed 4 children and wrangled 3 around the block and into two different pools.  All the while laughing and having a good time.  Totally storybook folks.  Some friends just rock.

Also, Ethan is made of sterner stuff than most toddlers.  Not only did he never really wear out from the 5 HOURS OF CONSTANT PLAY IN THE SUN AND POOLS AND PLAYROOMS . . . . but when we got home, he ate enough food for two grown men (so rare) and then ran around outside.  Really?!  Augh. 

Tomorrow is Ethan's last Monday at school.  He gets to go on a bowling field trip as a reward for the classes good behavior.  Only 3 more days left.  Friday is the "graduation" and goodbyes.  Did you just hear that bell tolling?  It was the countdown to my nervous breakdown.  Stay tuned.
